In Ruisui, Hualien, the Dong-Sheng pumpkin is famous for its bright golden color and sweet taste. With fresh air, clean water, and fertile soil, Ruisui is the perfect place for these pumpkins to grow.

This pumpkin has thick orange flesh and a smooth texture. It grows best in cool weather between 15°C and 25°C. Farmers plant them in spring and harvest them in autumn. The pumpkins can be harvested about 50 to 60 days after fruit set, developing a sweeter taste and richer flavor as they mature.



They are full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals like calcium and iron. In traditional Chinese medicine, pumpkin is believed to help nourish the body and support qi (vital energy).
